The Elisa Invitational Spring 2024 enters its second phase starting next Monday, featuring 8 teams from the Contenders Stage alongside 8 teams that have been invited. Embrace the excitement this spring with Elisa Invitational!
Mark your calendars as the Elisa Invitational Spring 2024 heats up from the 26th of February to the 18th of May 2024. The journey to glory begins with the Open Qualifiers on the 10th and 11th of February, a crucial battleground where the top 2 teams from each qualifier will earn their place in the Contenders Stage, where 12 invite teams await them.
Stage 1 – Qualifiers
- Participants: Open to European teams.
- Dates: 10th and 11th of February.
- Format: The top 2 teams from each Qualifier secure a spot in Stage 2, the Contenders Stage.
- Signups: Open now!
- 1st Open Qualifier on 10th of February: SIGN UP HERE
- 2nd Open Qualifier on 11th of February: SIGN UP HERE
Stage 2 – Contenders
- Dates: February 26th – March 15th.
- Format: Swiss Group (All matches Best-of-3) with 12 invite teams and 4 teams from the Open Qualifiers.
- Advancement: The top 8 teams advance to Stage 3, Main Swiss.
Stage 3 – Main Swiss
- Dates: April 8th – May 2nd.
- Format: Swiss Group (Best-of-3) with 8 invite teams and 8 teams from the Contenders Stage.
- Advancement: The top 8 teams secure spots in Stage 4, the Playoffs.
Stage 4 – Playoffs
- Dates: May 14th – May 18th.
- Format: Single Elimination Bracket with 4 rounds of play: Opening Matches, Quarter Finals, Semi Finals and Grand Final.
- Participants: 12 teams in total; 8 teams in the Opening Matches from Main Swiss, 4 teams invited straight to the Quarter Finals.
The competition is fierce with a $25,000 prize pool at stake, offering not only monetary rewards but also a chance to be invited to a special, yet-to-be-revealed LAN event.
The prize distribution:
1. $10,000 and an invite to an unannounced LAN event.
2. $5,000.
3.-4. $2,000.
5.-8. $1,000 each.
9.-12. $500 each.

Viikonloppuna päättyi neljäs Elisa Open Suomi -kausi Lantrek 2023 -tapahtumassa, ja jännittävien pudotuspelien jälkeen JANO poistui lavalta voittajana. Finaalissa JANO kohtasi ENCE Academyn, ja vaadittiin kaikki kolme karttaa ennen voittajan ratkeamista. Molemmat finalistit varmistivat itselleen paikan myöhemmin tänä vuonna järjestettävää CS:GO:n eSM-turnaukseen sekä paikat Elisa Invitational Spring 2023 -kaudelle: ENCE Academy aloittaa matkansa Contenders-vaiheesta, ja JANO hyppää mukaan Main-Stagella.
Kauteen mahtui yli 20 mahtavaa ottelua, ja niistä suurin osa vaati kaikki 3 karttaa ratketakseen. Elisa Open Suomi 4. kaudella pelattiin yhteensä 62 karttaa, ja joukkueet suosivat eniten vanhoja tuttuja Miragea, Infernoa ja Nukea: Jokaista näistä kartoista pelattiin 11 kertaa, kun taas Vertigo nähtiin neloskaudella vain 5 kertaa.
Suurin ikäero kauden pelaajien kesken oli 17 vuotta, ja molemmat, kauden nuorin ja vanhin pelaaja selvittivät tiensä pudotuspeleihin saakka: Enhancedin riveissä pelaava nuori osuja Teemu “teme” Korva on 15-vuotias, kun taas TMVG:n riveistä löytyy 32-vuotias konkari Markus “shaker” Pyysalo.
Elisa Open Suomi 4. finaali: JANO vs. ENCE Academy
Lauantai-illan finaaliottelu piti katsojia jännityksessä loppuun saakka. Ensimmäinen kartta Overpass päättyi ENCE Akatemialle lukemin 6-16, kun taas Mirage ja Ancient päättyivät tiukkoihin 16-14 lukemiin JANOn hyväksi.
Finaaliottelussa parhaiten vastustajiin osui ENCE Academyn myltsi 76 frägillä, ja ENCE Academyn HENU varmisti joukkueelleen myös eniten avaustappoja finaalin aikana: 49 avaustaposta 17 oli HENUn käsialaa. Sen sijaan JANOn sLowi oli avuliaalla tuulella, ja tarjosi joukkueelleen eniten avustusta, ja legendaarinen Aleksi “allu” Jalli näytti AWP-taitojaan: Kolmen kartan aikana AWP:n tähtäimeen osui 37 vastustajaa.

The Playoffs of Elisa Open Suomi season 4 will be played at the LanTrek 2023 event on Friday the 3rd of March and Saturday the 4th of March 2023. As announced before, the first and the second team of the tournament will receive a place in the CS:GO Finnish Championship tournament (eSM-tournament) that will be held later this year. In addition to that, the winner of Elisa Open Suomi season 4 will get a spot in the Elisa Invitational Spring 2023 Main Swiss Stage and the second team of the tournament will get a spot in the Elisa Invitational Spring 2023 Contenders Stage.
– We want to support the growth of Finnish esports, and this change makes it possible for them to play in better tournaments. I am really looking forward to seeing the Finnish teams play in the next Invitational season, comments Teemu Koski, Head of Elisa Esports.
Elisa Invitational Spring 2023 Open qualifier sign-ups are open now. Open qualifiers will be played on the 4th of March, and four teams will earn their spots for the Contenders Stage. The winner of Elisa Invitational Spring 2023 will also be awarded with a spot in a Closed Qualifier of an unannounced LAN event! More info about the tournament here.

Elisa Open Suomen 4. kausi huipentuu LanTrek 2023 –tapahtumassa 3.–4. maaliskuuta Tampereen Messu- ja urheilukeskuksessa. Kuten aiemmin ilmoitettu, turnauksen #1 ja #2 varmistavat itselleen rahapalkintojen lisäksi paikan myöhemmin tänä vuonna pelattavaan CS:GO:n eSM-turnaukseen, mutta lisäksi tarjolla on muutakin: Turnauksen voittaja lunastaa itselleen paikan tulevan Elisa Invitational Spring 2023 –turnauksen Main Swiss –vaiheeseen, ja turnauksen #2 saa paikan saman turnauksen Contenders –vaiheeseen.
– Haluamme tukea suomalaisen e-urheilun kasvua, ja tämä muutos mahdollistaa konkreettisesti sen, että suomalaisjoukkueet pääsevät pelaamaan entistä kovatasoisemmissa turnauksissa. Odotan innolla sitä, että näemme myös tulevalla Invitational-kaudella kotimaisia huippujoukkueita, kommentoi Teemu Koski, Head of Elisa Esports.
Elisa Invitational Spring 2023 –turnauksen karsintoihin ilmoittautuminen on nyt auki. Avoimet karsinnat pelataan tulevana lauantaina 4. maaliskuuta, ja karsinnoista 4 joukkuetta lunastaa itselleen paikan turnauksen Contenders –vaiheeseen. Turnauksen voittaja lunastaa itselleen palkintosumman lisäksi paikan vielä julkaisemattoman LAN-tapahtuman suljettuihin karsintoihin.
