Schade Halt -team disqualified from Elisa Invitational tournament
As a tournament operator, we take integrity concerns very seriously as we continue to build and develop our tournament circuit in CS:GO. Elisa Esports has been informed about suspicious behavior in two of its matches Schade Halt vs 00 Prospects that was played on 23.8.2022 and Schade Halt vs Yodagus that was played on 29.8.2022. Both matches were shown at twitch.tv/elisaesports. The suspicion was reported by a trusted third-party integrity partner.
The suspicion indicates that two match outcomes were manipulated by one competing team, Schade Halt. This is against our competition policies and thereby the matching team has been disqualified for all Elisa Invitational matches.
The suspicion has been reported to the Finnish authorities who will be in charge of the further actions regarding the case.
We are also sharing the information provided to us with other tournament operators and ESIC.

Elisa Esports aloittaa yhteistyön kotimaisen CS:GO-esineitä ostavan CSKeisarin kanssa. CS:GO:n “skinit” eli virtuaaliset esineet ovat nykyään iso liiketoiminta-alue, mutta aiemmin suomalaiset pelaajat ovat joutuneet kauppaamaan esineitä ulkomailla. CSKeisari on ensimmäinen kotimainen toimija, joka mahdollistaa turvallisen virtuaaliesineiden myynnin suomalaisille.
“CSKeisarin palvelu on katsojillemme helppo ymmärtää, koska siellä voi vain myydä omat esineensä joita ei enää halua syystä tai toisesta pitää itsellään. Toimijana CSKeisari on hieno esimerkki nuorten perustamasta kotimaisesta yrityksestä, joka on lähtenyt tekemään liiketoimintaa CS:GO-skene edellä, tukien esimerkiksi paljon erilaisia striimaajia ja sisällöntuottajia.” Kommentoi Head of Elisa Esports, Teemu Koski.
CSKeisari tuokin Elisa Esportsin lähetyksiin mielenkiintoista sisältöä, ja arvontoja joissa jokainen voi voittaa itselleen CSKeisarin palvelusta tuttuja virtuaalisia esineitä, eli skinejä.
“On mahtava päästä tekemään yhteistyötä Suomen e-sports suunnannäyttäjä Elisa Esportsin kanssa. Yhteistyö oli hyvin luonnollinen ja tulemmekin tuottamaan yhteistuumin lähetyksiin paljon antoisaa sisältöä. CSKeisarin brändi ja näkyvyys on kasvanut viimeisen vuoden ajan rytinällä. Uusi kumppanuus Suomen johtavan e-urheiluorganisaatio ENCEn kanssa hakee hyvää synergiaa Elisan ja ESL:n jo muodostamasta mediayhteistyöstä. Yhteistyö mahdollistaa entistä laadukkaammat ja sisältörikkaammat lähetykset Elisan Esportsin kanavilla, jonka myötä kotimaisissa lähetyksissä tullaan näkemään entistä enemmän asiantuntijoita ja pelaajahaastatteluita.

Elisa Invitational CS:GO tournament series will continue with the Fall edition! Elisa Invitational Fall 2022 will be played between qualified teams and some of the most prestigious invite teams in the world. The tournament starts in the 15th of August.
The next Elisa Invitational season will be played from the 15th of August to the 19th of October 2022. Opening qualifiers will be played on the 9th of August, where 6 teams among 10 invites will get their spot in the Contenders stage. The invited teams will be announced closer to the event.
Teams will be competing for a total Prize Pool of $25,000 and 2 spots in the Elisa Masters Espoo ’22 event.

Kesäkuussa julkaistun Elisa Masters Espoo ’22 -tapahtuman lavalla tullaan näkemään kotimaisia huippujoukkueita, kun kotimaisen huippuliiga Elisa Openin syyskauden finaaliottelu tullaan pelaamaan Espoon Metro Areenalla sunnuntaina 20. marraskuuta 2022. Liiga tarjoaa maailmanluokan mahdollisuuden nouseville suomalaisille pelaajille ja joukkueille. Liigan 1. ja 2. sijoittuneet joukkueet lunastavat paikan kansainväliseen Elisa Invitational -turnaukseen, muodostaen uusia sankaritarinoita tulevaisuuden tapahtumiin.
Kolmatta kertaa järjestettävä Elisa Open Suomi pelataan ensimmäistä kertaa 2 lohkossa, 12 joukkueella. Kausi starttaa avoimien karsintojen osalta maanantaina 22. elokuuta 2022. Lohko-ottelut alkaa maanantaina 5. syyskuuta 2022 ja kausi huipentuu Espoon Metro Areenalla pelattavaan finaaliin sunnuntaina 20. marraskuuta 2022.
“Tänä vuonna julkaistu Elisa Open -konseptimme on ylittänyt odotuksemme suosionsa puolesta ja näinollen liigan laajentaminen onkin looginen seuraava askel kehittäessä tuotettamme. Olemme ylpeitä, kun saamme tuoda suomalaisia joukkueita esiin ison areenatapahtuman puitteissa”, juhlii Elisa Esportsin toiminnasta vastaava Teemu Koski.

Spring season is here!
As the world moves towards post-covid time, we here at Elisa Esports are also looking towards new ways of bringing you exciting content and tournaments. We are all eager to see our beloved players competing in live tournaments and as the year progresses, we are starting to prepare our own LAN events in the near future.
Regionals is now Contenders
As we have developed our product, we have noticed that our previous name for the tournament, “Regionals”, isn’t as descriptive as we would want it to be. We feel that Contenders gives a better picture of our competing teams that are rising through the ranks of numerous CS:GO teams. We want to position ourselves as a tournament organizer that offers a clear path towards the top of the ranks.

The upcoming season is just behind the corner! As our final teams are going through our qualifiers and invite process’, we hope to see you all on our broadcasts starting next week.

Restructuring the prize pool distribution
Another thing we want to address is our prize pool distribution. Currently our tournament circuit has revolved around online-events due to current pandemic. As we move closer towards more open world, we have started to prepare ourselves for bigger LAN events. We want our online tournaments to work as a road towards the end of the year, where we can gather together in person to celebrate high level Counter-Strike.
For this we have done the following changes to our prize pools:
- Elisa Invitational Spring 2022 – $50,000 + Invite to 2022 Finals
- Elisa Invitational Fall 2022 – $50,000 + Invite to 2022 Finals
