Uusi kotimainen CS:GO -liiga alkaa tammikuussa – Elisa Open Suomi tarjoaa pelattavaa kaikille suomalaisille
Elisa Open on uusi Elisa Esportsin maakohtainen liigakonsepti, jossa paikalliset joukkueet kilpailevat yleisön suosiosta sekä paikoista kohti kansainvälisiä pelikenttiä. Liigan finalisteille on rahapalkinnon lisäksi luvassa paikka Elisa Esportsin kansainvälisessä turnaussarjassa.
Elisa Esports tekee paluun luomaan rakennetta suomalaisen e-urheilukentän tukemiseksi. Elisa Open Suomi tarjoaa suomalaisille CS:GO -joukkueille ja pelaajille rakenteellisen liigan, josta on suora tie kansainvälisiin turnauksiin. Elisa Esportsin ensi vuoden tavoite on uudelleenrakentaa Suomeen kilpailullisesti kovatasoinen sarja ja tarjota pelaajille kehityspolku kohti unelmia.
”Kotimainen kilpapelaamisen kenttä on aina ollut Elisalle tärkeä ja haluammekin rakentaa Suomeen sellaisen sarjan, joka tukee organisaatioita ja joukkueita pienistä suuriin. Tahdomme tarjota yhteisölle aidosti arvokasta urheilua, jonka parissa voi viihtyä hurraten omaa suosikkipelaajaa tai -joukkuetta kohti mestaruutta”, kommentoi Elisa Esportsin toiminnasta vastaava Teemu Koski.
Elisa Open Suomi tulee tarjoamaan vähintään kuusi ottelua viikossa suomalaisille CS:GO-faneille. Liigan aikana Elisa Esports tulee kertomaan entistä yksityiskohtaisemmin pelaajien tuntemuksia ja joukkueiden tarinoita. Elisa Esports pyrkii kehittämään lähetyksiään tuomalla niihin uudenlaisia teknisiä ratkaisuja parantaakseen katsojakokemusta. Kaikki Elisa Open Suomi -ottelut tullaan näkemään Elisa Viihde Sportin Twitch-kanavalla.
Liigassa pelaa kahdeksan suomalaista joukkuetta. Nämä joukkueet koostuvat neljästä kovatasoisimmasta ja kiinnostavimmasta kutsujoukkueesta, sekä neljästä karsintavoittajasta. Turnauksen avoimet karsinnat pelataan 15. – 16.1. Esportal-pelialustalla. (Linkit karsintoihin lisätietoa -osion alla)
Elisa Open Suomi tullaan pelaamaan kokonaisuudessaan 22.1. – 27.2. Pelipäivät ajoittuvat viikonlopuille, ja liigan pudotuspelivaihe pelataan 25. – 27.2. Elisa Openissa kaikki joukkueet kohtaavat toisensa kerran Best-of-2 -ottelusarjassa, jonka perusteella pudotuspeleihin pääsee kuusi eniten pisteitä kerännyttä joukkuetta.

Elisa Invitational Winter 2021 -turnauksen loppuottelut pelataan tuhatpäiselle yleisölle LanTrek 2022 -tapahtumassa Tampereen Messu- ja Urheilukeskuksessa 3.–5. maaliskuuta 2022. Turnauksessa on jaossa huikeat 100 000 dollaria sekä viimeisiä paikkoja Elisa Esportsin järjestämään Masters-turnaukseen. Masters-turnauksesta joukkueilla on mahdollisuus jatkaa Champion Of Champions -turnaukseen, joka on huipentuma yhdelle maailman suurimmista kansainvälisistä miljoonakiertueista. Turnauksissa pelataan Counter-Strike: Global Offensive -peliä.
Kuluneen vuoden aikana Elisa Invitational -turnausten finaaleissa on nähty muun muassa suomalaisittain kiinnostavat ENCE ja HAVU, sekä kansainväliset huippujoukkueet Gambit, FURIA, fnatic ja Heroic. LanTrekeillä pelattavassa turnauksessa on siis odotettavissa ennennäkemätön show, sillä tähän mennessä Elisa Invitational -turnauksia on pelattu vain verkossa.
Myös Elisa Esportsin lähetyksissä nähty suomalainen ammattiselostaja Roope ”Robu” Leppänen kommentoi turnausta seuraavasti:

The Playoffs of the Elisa Invitational Winter 2021 tournament will be played at one of the largest gaming events in Southern Finland. The event, LanTrek 2022, will be organized at the Tampere Exhibition and Sports Centre on 3rd – 6th of March 2022. The tournament will be handing out a total Prize Pool of $100,000 and the last remaining spots to the Masters tournament hosted by Elisa Esports. Teams have a chance to earn a spot from the Masters tournament to the Champion Of Champions tournament, which will culminate one of the largest international Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tours.
During the past year, the Playoffs of the Elisa Invitational tournaments have seen many world-class teams such as Gambit, FURIA, fnatic and Heroic. An unprecedented show is expected, as so far Elisa Invitational tournaments have only been played online.
Roope “Robu” Leppänen, a Finnish professional caster and analyst, commented on the tournament:
” Finnish audiences have never seen so many top teams before, so of course it’s great to have such a high-quality tournament in Finland. LAN tournaments are their very own world, where the game becomes many times more entertaining and EPIC! “
Path from the Home Computer to being a Professional Gamer
Elisa Invitational tournaments allow players to progress from the grassroots level to the world-class tournaments. Elisa Invitational Winter 2021 will be played between qualified teams from the Nordic region and some of the most prestigious teams in the world. The Nordic Qualifiers (Finland, Sweden, and Norway) will be played from 8th – 14th of November, from where the best teams qualify to the Regional Swiss stage.

Congratulations! Let’s start with a classic: How does it feel right now?
It feels amazing to finally win a PSL tournament again. The first time me and knorkis won one, was back in the elgiganten days. Now with the new PolishPower roster finally getting to the top feels great after being 6th last season and 2nd two seasons before.
Your first day was pretty slow, but you had an amazing second day. What did you change in your strategy (for both maps) for the second day?
We didn’t really change much, unfortunately K4pii wasn’t able to play with us due his electricity problems but we managed to get a great sub, Gustav from FaZe Clan himself, to help us out. He played super well and everyone just started to hit their shots. We knew that we need to play edge and start fragging people out, so that was our main focus
You had a number of roster changes throughout the weekend. How did you successfully deal with the changes and instability to still perform so strongly overall and take the title?
Gustav is a super experienced player so we knew we don’t need to worry about his performance. First day DannyG jumped for k4pi after not playing for a long time and still he did good job and helped us a lot. Overall we worked together very nice, Gustav gave KnorkiS some ideas through out the games and we just kept doing our own thing to win. It was also our first time playing with Gustav ever so i’m really happy how it worked out.
What made you perform better than the competitors during this weekend?
We just won the games we needed to win. We are still upset about few games we should have done better but we take whats given and we just vibe with it.
Were there any teams going into this tournament that you thought “this is our biggest competition”, and how did you adjust your game to maximise your chances around them?
Me and knorkis have been on the scene for a long time already. We knew exactly who we are playing against and how the teams play. Even though we played in NA in the past 2 years we still know how to move around EU grounds. We always think about all the equally and we know EU is stacked and everyone can pop off.
What will you be spending the prize money on?
That’s our mystery <3
