Playoff Invite #4: Gambit
One of the absolute best teams in the world is our final invite!
- Abay “Hobbit” Khasenov
- Timofey “interz” Yakushin
- Sergey “Ax1Le” Rykhtorov
- Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov
- Vladislav “nafany” Gorshkov
- Ivan “F_1N” Kochugov (coach)
Current form
Gambit has been the overall best or second-best team of 2021 depending on who you ask. They’ve won three big events and rode the number 1 rank on HLTV for 14 weeks. They still haven’t really dropped off, it’s just that their level of play and results were so high that even a quarter-final spot sounds like an underperformance for this squad.
They’re still looking great and will be the team everyone is scared to play.
Player to watch
Ax1Le is the star rifler of the team. He’s an HLTV rating of 1.14 over the past three months and that’s not boosted at all – that number is solely against the best teams in the world. His aim and mechanics are world-class and most importantly he fits Gambit extremely well. He might just take over here at Elisa Invitational Fall 2021.
What would winning take?
Gambit is the clear-cut favorite of the tournament. They could even win the tournament with their B-level of play. For them to not win, would take a heroic performance from another team or Gambit really underperforming. If they hit their stride and are their best selves, they are extremely hard to beat.

- Florian “syrsoN” Rische
- Nicklas “gade” Gade
- Nils “k1to” Gruhne
- Nikola “LEGIJA” Ninić (coach)
Current form
The ever-so-consistent BIG has been hovering around the Top-10 spot all year long. Even after one of their stars “XANTARES” leaving the team and “gade” replacing him, the results have still looked promising. BIG’s great preparation and solid team play make them always tough to play against.
Player to watch
The in-game leader and star of the team “tabseN” is what BIG is. He’s played in the team for almost 5 years with numerous different results. He’s taken steps back, allowing his teammates to shine and now he’s taking some space again and fragging out since that is what’s needed from him. Need a big play? TabseN will deliver.
What would winning take?
BIG is definitely coming in as one of the favorites of the tournament. Winning will take more from the other four players excluding tabseN. If BIG has enough time to prepare for their opponents, they can beat anyone.
ENCE will bring the excitement straight into the playoffs!
- Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer
- Joonas “doto” Forss
- Paweł “dycha” Dycha
- Olek “hades” Miskiewicz
- Lotan “Spinx” Giladi
- Eetu “sAw” Saha (coach)
Current form
The Finnish organization has had some disappointing runs in the previous Elisa Invitational tournaments – they finished 3-4th in the Spring version and 5-8th in Summer.
After that Summer Invitational, ENCE has been rocking the world with fantastic results. They’ve made some relatively deep tournament runs and their overall play has impressed the fans and analysts alike. Now they’ve even made the Playoff stage in the last Regional Major Ranking tournament.
Snappi calls an explosive game with a lot of tricky tactics for their opponents to handle which has led to great wins over teams like Astralis, forZe, and Dignitas.
Player to watch
There are quite a few good options here but we’d have to go with Spinx. He is just fun to watch on the server. The Israeli player has also been getting more and more responsibility on the team, getting to play some lurk roles which aren’t always easy to pull off.
Spinx is rocking an impressive 1.17 HLTV rating at the moment and he’s just popping off heads with a 54.4% headshot percentage.
What would winning take?
ENCE is one of the favorites and they have the pieces. Right now it’s about things clicking and coming in with good confidence. Their style will be hard for any team to counter.
The Elisa Invitational Champions of Summer 2021 are back!
- Andrei “arT” Piovezan
- Yuri “yuurih” Santos
- Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato
- Vinicius “VINI” Figueiredo
- André “drop” Abreu
- Nicholas “guerri” Nogueira (coach)
Current form
The Brazilian squad’s results have been a bit of a mixed bag lately. After their superb Elisa Invitational Summer result, they finished 9-12th in IEM Cologne and 17-20th in ESL Pro League Season 14.
Now they’re looking to bounce back with a new addition, the 17-year old “drop“. He came over from FURIA’s academy team where he convinced many.
Player to watch
It will be interesting to see how the team meshes together now with the new player. We do know that their core is very strong and with a star player like KSCERATO, it feels like anything is possible. His HLTV rating is currently a magnificent 1.28. He is definitely the player to keep an eye on.
What would winning take?
FURIA plays an explosive style lead by their in-game leader and awper arT. Whenever he is going off, things are looking great for FURIA. A win here at the very competitive Elisa Invitational Fall 2021 also needs a decent performance from their new addition, drop. The opponents are not easy and there are some heavy hitters that are favored against FURIA that they or someone else will have to beat.
Third round of the PSL Elisa Esports PUBG Winter Challenge is here! 64 teams are still in the battle and 36 of them will move forward to face the first patch of invitational teams later this week!
