The next generation of esports talent is about to break through.
BreakOut Series is built to spotlight rising players, hungry teams, and unforgettable moments on one of Finland’s biggest gaming stages. Expect high-intensity matches, fresh storylines, and the kind of atmosphere only CS2 can deliver.
BreakOut Series #1 will be played entirely on-site at Assembly Summer 2026. Group stage matches will be played in front of a live audience at the Elisa Esports booth area, culminating with the grand final on the Assembly Main Stage.

Team Cap
A maximum of 8 teams may participate. Registration is open to any team on a first-come, first-served basis.
Each team consists of 5 players, with the option to have 1 coach.
All participants must be able to attend on-site.

Teams must register via here. Registration opens 3rd of June 18CET.
A registration fee of €1,000 + VAT per team (covers 5 players + 1 coach) is required to confirm entry. Payment must be provided within 72h of registration.

Team Eligibility:
Open to all teams in the Schengen region. No prior qualification or minimum rank is required; however, all players must have valid CS2 accounts in good standing (no VAC bans). Players have to be at least 16 years old (players under 18 require parental consent per local regulations).
Sign-up Process:
Teams register on the official link. Payment of €1,000 + VAT per team (covers 5 players + 1 coach) secures the spot. After payment, the team representative will receive the team information collection form via the official email address, which must be completed to confirm participation.
Seeding:
Primary seeding – VRS Ranking: We will be using the Official Global VRS Ranking posted on the 6th of July 2026.
Secondary Seeding – HLTV Ranking: For teams that do not possess a VRS ranking from the July 6, 2026 snapshot, the secondary seeding criterion will be their official HLTV.org world ranking. The definitive snapshot for HLTV rankings will be taken as of Wednesday, July 8, 2026.
Additional Information:
• No VRS filter and no VRS invitations. Sign-ups are open to all teams
• Seeding will be based on the official VRS Rankings released by Valve in July, secondarily on HLTV rankings where a VRS is not available
• The event is open to teams from the Schengen Region.
• The entire tournament, including both the Qualifying Group Stage and the Single Elimination Playoff, will be played on LAN at Assembly Summer 2026
• There are no additional compensations for teams or players outside of the prize pool.
Check-in:
Teams must check in at the venue on Day 1 by the designated time (exact schedule to be provided and available on the event website). All team members should be on-site and ready at least one hour before their first match. Any team that fails to check in on time may be disqualified.
Group standings:
Points (win=3, OT win=2, OT loss=1, loss=0)
Any potential tiebreakers are defined in the rules, available here
Group stage will be played using Round robin best of one 4 team groups
Playoffs single-elimination best of three.
