PSL ELISA ESPORTS PUBG SPRING CHALLENGE – Format and rules

Elisa Invitational Spring 2021 – stronger than ever! Elisa Invitational will be played between qualified teams from Elisa Nordic Championship and some of the most prestigious teams in the world. The tournament takes place from 15th to 18th of April, with a total prize pool of $50,000.

The tournament will feature eight top teams, including the Finnish domestic supersensations; HAVU ja ENCE. Four teams have proven themselves worthy and qualified from the local Elisa Nordic Championship tournaments. These teams are HAVU, Tricked, Apeks ja Young Ninjas. The rest of the slots will be filled by invites of some of the top teams in the world.

The tournament features Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Elisa Invitational was held twice in 2020, and now it’s returning bigger than ever!

Sweden wraps Elisa Nordic Championship on March 25th with the prize pool of $12.500. However only a winner can join for couple weeks later hosted Elisa Invitational.

Teams for playoffs are Galaxy Racer, paperplanes, Lilmix, Team Denied, Young Ninjas, gravediggerss, Sygytt ja BRB Shooters.

Bullets starts flying in the opening match when Galaxy Racer ja BRB Shooters meet each other at March 25th 16CET. Later Young Ninjas ja Team Denied closes the Thrusday night at 19CET. Lilmix ja Gravediggers leads the March 26th and in the last quater final match we see Sygytt ja paperplanes going head-to-head.

Schedule – Qualifiers

On March 27th we have two semi-final matches. The first match up starts at 16CET while the second one at 19CET. Despite the results, all teams are seen March 28th when the Bronze match takes in place at 16CET. But just a few hours later, the Grand Final will plant the biggest bomb deciding ranks one and two.

2.3.2021 - 13:38

As only eight teams left, Norway starts their playoff marching on March 18th. With total prize pool $12.500, only a winner claims the ticket to the Elisa Invitational.

Quarterfinal teams are Nordavind DNB Talent, FOXED, Oilers Esports, Team Bitfrost, Team Midgard, 777 Esports, Apeks ja Wizard Esports.

The first quarter final is between Apeks ja FOXED on the Thursday evening March 18th at 16CET followed by the day`s second match between Midgard ja Team Bitforst at 19CET. Oilers Esports challenges 777 Esports on the Friday`s first match at 16CET and in the last quater final Nordavind DNB Talent goes against Wizard Esports at 19CET.

Norway`s first semi-final begins at 16CET on March 20th. At 19CET starts the second one as there are two semi-final matches on the same day. The Bronze match will take in place on March 21st just before the main event, Grand Final at 19CET.

1.3.2021 - 22:06

Denmark starts playing their playoffs on the March 11th. With total prize pool of $12.500, eight teams are battling for the spot into Elisa Invitational of the spring 2021.

Teams are Copenhagen Flames, MASONIC, Tricked Esports, QBF, YNITY, AGF, Lyngby Vikings ja DREAM.

Copenhagen Flames starts the quater finals against DREAM on March 11th. Later at 20CET AGF ja QBF battles each other on the Thursday evening. While Tricked Esports meets YNITY on the March 12th, Lyngby Vikings ja MASONIC closes the Friday at 20CET.

Schedule – Qualifiers

There is two semi-finals on March 13th – at 17CET and 20CET. Because the Bronze match on Sunday, all four teams are playing also on the March 14th. After the third place of the tournament has resolved, the Grand Final takes place at 20CET and the winner will be seen in the Elisa Invitational.

Epic 18 map final concluded the PSL Elisa Esports PUBG Winter Challenge and we have new champion, We Live Again! The Russian-Kazakhstan roster battled their way to grand final through all seven rounds and took the biggest prize away from the invitational teams.

We Live Again walks away with 6500€ prize. PolishPower in second place won 4500€, Adepts in third place won 2500€ and new Raise Your Edge roster (ex- TORNADO ENERGY) won 1500€.

Let’s start with a classic: How does it feel right now?

We feel emotionally exhausted after all these games.

Grand finals were very close and tight the whole time. Was it a surprise to you that the final lobby was this even?

We felt every team very competitive and equal to each over. So that was not a surprise that it will be a tough one.

What made you perform better than the competitors when it mattered the most?

It was fate.

You grinded through 7 rounds of games. How does it feel to leave all the invitational teams behind you?

Maybe it even helped us someway. We could adapt to some teams which we played within all these rounds.

What are your next goals and plans for the rest of the year?

We are planning to participate in PCS obviously. Will be training hard until this day.

Anything else you want to say for your fans or anyone involved with PSL?

We want to appreciate everyone who was involved for the opportunity to participate in this tournament. We also want to say THANK YOU to all our fans who believed in us during this event. Our team will do the best to not disappoint you in the future.

It’s time for the grand final! 16 best teams will compete for 15 000€ prize pool in thrilling 3-day best of 18 series. More info about the tournament you can find täältä.

In the final round, teams will play six maps per day (3x Miramar & 3x Erangel) and there is 3 gamedays! At sunday we know the champion after all 18 maps are played. Come and join to twitch chat and cheer your favorite team!

Elisa Nordic Championship 2021 -turnauksen pudotuspelit pelataan tulevana viikonloppuna 4.-7.3. Jaossa on yhteensä 12500 dollaria ja Elisa Invitational -paikka.

Pudotuspelit avataan torstaina kello 17.00 Elisa Viihde Sportilla ja Twitchissä. Toisensa kohtaavat A-lohkon voittaja HAVU Gaming ja D-lohkon kakkonen FCottoNd. Iltaottelussa vastakkain asettuvat B-lohkosta voiton napannut hREDS, sekä C-lohkossa Exen Esportsin yllättänyt croveNt.

Perjantain avauksessa nähdään B-lohkon voittajan KOVA:n ja B-lohkon toiseksi sijoituneen thatwaslegitness-joukkueen keskeinen vääntö. Puolivälierät viimeistelee ennakkoasetelmiltaan tulikuuma ottelu D-lohkon voittaja SJ:n ja A-lohkon toiseksi sijoittuneen IQUE:n välinen ottelu!

Puolivälierien voittajat tullaan näkemään joka tapauksessa sekä lauantaina ja sunnuntaina, sillä finaalin lisäksi turnauksessa ratkotaan myös pronssimitalit. Välierät pelataan lauantaina 6.3. 18.00 ja 21.00. Finaalipäivä sunnuntai 7.3. avataan pronssiottelulla 17.00 ja mestaruus ratkotaan finaalissa heti perään 20.00.

It’s time for round 6 and finally we get to decide the 16 teams who advances to grand finals! 16 teams have two chances and 8 teams will only have one chance to advance. It doesn’t get any better than this! More info about the tournament you can find täältä.

In the sixth round, teams will play six maps (3x Miramar & 3x Erangel) and top-8 from the upper bracket will advance to grand finals. Rest of the teams will advance to lower bracket.
